350 Mass Action was founded in 2016 when we launched the Clean Money for Climate Pledge, and recruited 75 candidates for the State Legislature, including 40 elected or re-elected to the State House, to pledge not to take money from fossil fuel companies or utilities. This included candidates and legislators from Republican, Democratic, and independent parties.

In 2017, we endorsed three candidates for local office, including the successful Cambridge City Councilor Quinton Zondervan and Marlborough City Councilor Dave Doucette. We also joined with allies in Mass Power Forward on the #StandUpCharlie campaign, and helped organize and support two sit-ins of the Governor's office to encourage Governor Baker to stop all new fossil fuel infrastructure in the Commonwealth.

In 2018, we worked on advancing the national No Fossil Fuel Money pledge with Massachusetts candidates, which our 2016 initiative helped inspire, as well as continuing to pressure Governor Baker to drop his support for new fossil fuels. Based on a positive vote of 90% of our membership, we supported Bob Massie for Governor.

In 2019 we focused on our direct action campaigns and pushing for new legislation and regulatory reforms. In 2020 we worked state-wide supporting candidates for local Municipal Light and Power Commissions, City Councils, State Representatives and Senators, Congress, and the presidency.

In 2020 we supported Ed Markey for US Senate (he won) and Ayanna Pressley for US Congress candidate (she won), and two out of state US Senate candidates (one won). In state races, we supported three Senate candidates (two won), fourteen House candidates (eleven won), and four municipal light and power board candidates (three won).

In 2021, we supported Michelle Wu for Mayor of Boston--she won.
